The intensity of cycling and boxing blend with the intensity of Japanese culture in Tokyo in the new short film “Knock for Knock” from filmmaker Antony Crook, creating an experience both memorable and inspiring. Striking visuals place the grey of urban Tokyo against a bright sunrise combined with the grit of cycling through a city that seems to be passing everyone by without a second look. A score from Scottish post-rock group Mogwai only makes this film bring you closer to the edge of your seat as it fades in and out of reality in an incredibly engaging six minute story. There are some things that you just need to watch to understand – and this is certainly one of them.
