Nothing gets more serious than the imagery conjured up by the sea-sprayed rocky coastlines of the Pacific Northwest, a look that menswear brand VBN takes full advantage of in the fall/winter 2012 collection, a line full with seriously good looking items of clothing and a serious commitment to being environmentally friendly. A cool color palate of dark blues, greys and burnt out reds is the perfect compliment to dreary and fog drenched landscape, but the construction of these fine pieces shouldn’t bring any dread to mind, including lamb’s wool marled sweaters, indigo yarn dye knits and military grade work pants and shirts, made right here in the US. Rugged with just a tad of flair around the edges, the VBN fall/winter 2012 collection continues this brand’s mission of creating clothing that works in harmony with the environment, not against it.
