Spearheaded by tourism agency Agenzia per la Promozione Turistica della Basilicata, the first ever Digital Diary project is bringing together a young band of elite visual storytellers to put together the first Digital Diary series, focused on moving beyond the traditional confines of tourism marketing. In “Dreaming in Italy” from Matthew Brown, absolutely jarring powerful cinematography blends with the sounds of a landscape that leaves the viewer questioning its reality. Rolling countrysides give way to old and new world architecture that creates cityscapes unlike any other location on Earth, stuffed full with engaging and interesting citizens without parallel. Just as you think there is no way that Basilicata, Italy can be a real place, you can’t help but feel a longing to experience the intensity of the world itself.
