It takes quite a bit for a residence to stand out in an overcrowded mega-city such as Singapore, but the 36 BTrd house from DP Architect is able to break the mold with a casual natured infused flair. Wedged in between two pre-existing buildings, the house makes excellent use of its otherwise cramped three story space, using wide open spaces and large windows to keep the place from feeling like a coffin. A vertical set of metal shades occupies the facade, bringing in the sunshine without completely letting go of privacy. But the best part – a simply integrated roof terrace that would be perfect for hosting guests on beautiful Southest Asian night.
