Most issues aren’t just black and white, full of hues that only complicate the matter at hand. The same theory rings true for the Apartment Poissonniere from Frederic Bethier Architecture, a thoroughly modern design that benefits substantially from its simplicity. With a baseline of chevron patterned wood floor, the space is excellent at holding natural light, with rays bouncing off white walls without serving up too much of a headache. Contrasted with the various black elements throughout, the sharp lines of the apartment provide a relatively un-sterile clean look, adding to its modern design appeal. A hint of marble offers an elegant touch, instantly taking the space above the threshold of plain into the realm of interesting.
