Tesla CEO Elon Musk could have chosen to take the humble route when describing the new Tesla Model S. Or he could just say this, “If you drive another premium sedan after driving the Model S, it’s going to feel like a jalopy.” It’s clear to see why Musk would be so confident about his vehicle. It’s revolutionary for the fact that it’s the first premium electric car in the world. There isn’t any tailpipe on the Model S and the car is totally emission-free.
The Model S can go from 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and tops out at 130 mph. A single charge can last up to 300 miles on a single charge and recharges at a rate of 62 miles every hour. The battery charge port is located in the driver’s side taillight and can be used in a 120- or 240-volt outlet. Another awesome feature of the Model S is the key itself. When the driver approaches the car, the door handles, which retract inside the car when not needed, pop out and the car automatically programs itself to your preferred settings. You don’t even need to put it in the ignition because when you buckle your seat belt, the car turns on. At a starting price of $49,900, the Model S is truly the first of its kind. I guess Musk has good reason to be so confident.

Please get your facts straight. Model S sports edition was verified to run 0-60 in 4.4 (!) seconds. THAT is the reason Elon has the right to say what he says. This kind of performance is in the area of high-end sports cars such as Porsche GT, Corvette, etc.
