Inspired by tree houses of lore, Van Der Miszewski Architects recently debuted their latest project simply titled “the Tree House” in East Africa. Totaling 2,475 square feet the building takes up three housing areas. The structure is meant to emphasize the importance of trees in society while also paying tribute to the tree’s meaning and purpose, to provide shelter for the everyday person. According to the builder, the intention of the design is to invite visitors to journey through the natural, free flowing feel of the building.
The house incorporates elements of African architecture and other classic designs, making this tree house both original and excitingly interesting.
