Never before have we seen a printer and been blown away. It’s really surprising to see how printers have pretty much stayed the same, while computers continue to be revolutionized. That is, until you see the Artefact SWYP, which stands for “See What You Print”. It’s pretty much exactly what the name says. You could call it the iPad of printers.
The SWYP is so incredibly simple, it truly sounds too good to be true. You just upload pictures from your camera or your Facebook and/or Flickr streams. Then, the picture shows up on the printer screen. From there, you can essentially do whatever you want. You can scroll through every picture until you find the one you want, then you can zoom in, change it from horizontal to vertical, whatever, and it’s all right there on the screen. Then, you swipe the picture down, and it prints just like it shows up on the screen. You won’t have to worry that the color doesn’t match to what you see on the screen or the size is off.
The days of having to print copy after copy of a picture, only to crumple it up and throw it in the trash might be over. Instead, we’ll just be throwing our old printers in the trash.
