Legendary workwear brand Carhartt is looking pretty good for being over a century old. As evidence that they’ve still got the means to excite a crowd, the brand teamed up with London store Goodhood to launch their new Heritage Collection, throwing a get together that most 122 year olds couldn’t keep up with. While the name of the collection may have connotations of focusing on the past, the pieces do an excellent job of highlighting Carhartt’s ability to look towards the future in their design.
As part of the collaboration, Goodhood presented a retrospective entitled 1889 across the road at their Goodhood gallery, that chronicled some of the storied pieces in Carhartt’s history. The exhibit captures the growth of the brand from its roots in Michigan to the level of worldwide acclaim it receives today, featuring many items that are over 100 years old. We can only hope that Carhartt will stick around for another great century of ‘Best in Class’ workwear.
