Nikon’s latest inovation is the Nikon 1 series featuring the J1 and the V1. These components are in the front of the pack when it comes to photographic technology. Each camera has 10.1 Megapixle COMS sensors and an interchangeable mount system which includes 10-30mm f/3.5, 30-110mm f/2.8, and a 10-110mm f/3.5 zoom. The J1 and V1 also feature the new Motion Snapshot function. This function captures a video scene and grabs a single photograph within the movie. It is then capable of setting that video to music, adding more emotion to the experience. These cameras also include Smart Photo Selector technology, which allows a photographer to capture a fast moving moment with ease. The Selector takes 20 photos before and after the press of the shutter release button. These cameras are extremely advanced and would be perfect for a new photographer who is looking to advance his or her capabilities.
