J. Crew’s Spring/Summer 2012 Men’s collection is sharp and clean cut, featuring various slim fitting sports coats, shorts, and dress shirts. Different shades of blue are prevalent throughout, which gives the collection a somewhat nautical theme.
Capturing all of these styles during New York Fashion Week was Richard Haines. He attended the show with his sketchbook creating artistic depictions of this great collection. His ruff edged drawing are creatively simple. There is irony in taking a neat pressed fashion and sketching it with unclean lines. These crude edges give the images personality and and still have a way of maintaining the overall look of J. Crew’s collection.
You can view the rest of Haines’s sketches over at his site, What I Saw Today.
