As lead singer of REM, Michel Stipe has spent the past three decades producing some of the most definitive rock and roll music of the common area. In his free time however, Stipe has an eye for both art and graphic design. In a recent interview with The Creators Project, Stipe opened the doors to his New York City studio to reveal to the world what he’s been working on lately. Among paintings and photos, Stipe has been most recently experimenting with three dimensional sculptures, thereby further expanding his reach as an artist.
It’s always nice to see such a famous pop culture figure that continues work not for money, but because he truly loves and appreciates his life’s pursuit as an artist.
