Come on, swing it.
The Warrior was supposed to be released last year. That was until a similarly themed Mark Walhberg vehicle, featuring a scenery chewing Christian Bale, stole it’s thunder. Now almost a year removed from The Fighter, The Warrior is finally seeing the light of day when it’s released next Friday.
Though competitive fighting and sibling rivalry do play a huge part in the narrative, there does appear to be enough differences to set this film apart from last year’s Oscar-winner. The films pedigreed cast includes future Batman-villian Tom Hardy, mug shot hall-of-famer Nick Nolte, and Aussie actor/director Joel Edgerton. The Warrior just might be worth a look.
