The world’s favorite angular hunk of off-road workmanship, the Land Rover Defender, is finally getting a makeover, courtesy of Land Rover’s new DC100. Making it’s debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, the DC100 aims to replace the “iconic Defender” which is “loved the world over for it’s honest, simple, and distinctive design.” The current design is only a concept, as production isn’t expected to begin until 2015. But the folks at Land Rover aren’t the only ones going to be working on it, as they plan to engage customers in an effort to give the Defender a re-design worthy of its legendary status.
Land Rover plans to reveal more about the DC100 on September 13 at the Frankfurt Auto Show.
