A year after her death, the photographs of Corrine Day will be put on display by the Gimpel Fils Gallery in London. Day spent her career focusing on documentary style photographs of the city and people around her, including many biographical shots. Her unique perspective on photography was a stark contrast to the more mainstream magazine photos of the past two decades.
The show at the Fils Gallery, which begins on September 1st, will primary focus on Day’s collection of photographs known as The Face. Day’s collection of Kate Moss photographs are the main allure of the gallery but each photo serves as a fine example of the excellence of Day’s photography.
