Eastern Design Office’s Taiyo Jinno and Anna Nakamura in Japan designed the MON Factory/House in Gojo, Kyoto Prefecture to work as different venues for a local artisan. This perforated building, having 26 holes in total, with overlapping frontispiece serves as workspace and residential property with a small shop set in front of the house. They designed the area to have voids or gaps where people can move around while setting the workshop, living area, and bedroom strategically to merge its design and better space function.
