COS AW 2011 Collection’s designs don’t conform with the typical designs dictated by seasonal trends. Rather, they take inspiration from architecture and geometry to exhibit restrained good taste together with its clean look.
Martin Anderson, Menswear design head, stated that the inspiration for this collection came from studying prefab Swiss ski chalets’ architecture, which eventually brought them to vintage ski and sportswear. Minimal and modern preppy style balanced the sporty look, giving it an edge to go against the other collections launched for AW 2011.
