Some say that the Porsche 911 doesn’t need to be tinkered with. But change isn’t always for the worse, especially not in the case of these German marvels of automobile engineering. Possibly the most anticipated item in the upcoming Frankfurt Auto Show, the 2012 911 sports a slightly longer and more elegant frame, while harnessing even more power than before with the addition of flat-six 3.4 litre direct injection 350 horsepower rocket of an engine. But upgrade to the Carrera S edition and experience even more speed: a block 3.8 litre direct injection 400 horsepower engine. Why fix something that isn’t broken? Because when fixing it makes it even more powerful than before, it’s worth the change.
