Tilt-Shift video methods that make the real world look like miniatures in movement is nothing new. In fact this method has been used in the big screen already in movies such as The Social Network (the rowing scene). However we found this time-lapse tilt-shift video of California which was done by pre-med student Ryan Killackey and his wife. They spent two you years shooting 10,000 photos in the Golden State using a Canon Rebel XS with a “nifty fifty” 50mm, 18-55mm kit lens, and 50-250mm. They had a little fun with the photos and combined the stills into a short time-lapse vid. Add the method of fake tilt-shifting with Affter Effects and the result is a beutiful portrait of California.
