The Nakahouse takes minimalism to the next level with it’s all white floors and ceilings. Add its gigantic windows that peer out into the open and you have a home that is abundant in natural light. You’ll also let in unwanted peering eyes from across your neighbors, but that doesn’t matter if your home looks this good. Perched on the Holywood Hills in California, this 1960′s hillside home is meant to be a singular sculpture that that sits in a very natural setting. It’s geometric use of angular lines and open squares and rectangles are nothing new, but it does it in a way that gives the home a wide open space that seems to extend across its windows. Even the bathtub and kitchen counter are big cubed blocks. It could be a house that’s difficult to live in, but we sure wouldn’t mind spending the night or two.
