From the front, the Browne Street House looks pretty generic and unworthy of praise. But once you set foot through the doors, one can’t helped be amazed at the one standout aspect of this house: amazing woodwork. Thin lines are given volume through the house’s wide open spaces. We especially like the marble top and wood combo of the kitchen counter,as well as the contrast of the wood and tiles on some of the floors and the bathroom. Even the furniture brings out the best features of the house with its angular sculptures. There’s a unique correlation of repetitive thin lines with the vast surfaces of the other materials worked in the house. High ceilings are met with a grand sense of space, and it’s deceptively pleasing in comparison to what the entrance of the house presents us.
