The Japanese take their vintage garments very seriously. They hunt down the rarest vintage pieces and either resell it at a higher price or keep it for their collection. It’s quite the lucrative business, if you know your stuff, and for some Japanese collectors, vintage clothing is a way of life. Nigo, founder of BAPE, who is also a vintage enthusiast himself is capitalizing on this phenomenon with a vintage brand of his own called Human Form. Human Made takes inspiration from the Rockabilly culture of the 1950′s as well as American workwear, and Rock N’ Roll. HM garments include denim hats, shorts, t-shirts, canvas bags, prisoner garments, and army inspired wear. Learn more about Nigo’s new label on Nowness.
