For many, customizing a product to their tastes and standards amplifies the significance and connection they have with their purchase. New Balance recognizes this innate desire and is set to launch a user-friendly microsite that allows sneaker lovers to customize their own pair of signature New Balance 574’s on Friday, April 1, 2011. Last evening at the MPE Penthouse, a select few were able to test out this new fully customizable feature before it goes live. Guests meticulously clicked away on Mac Books as they cultivated, fashioned, and designed carefully selected color patterns for their very own, one-of-a-kind New Balance 574′s.
After testing out the microsite we found it to be comparable if not better to the other sneaker brand customizer sites out there. We also thought the option to add your own personal signature to the back heel of each sneaker was a nice touch. The best part about the whole process is knowing that your kicks are made right here in the U.S. (Maine) and are delivered to your doorstep in approximately eight business days.
