When I heard Steve Carell was leaving “The Office,” last summer there were many theories on what would happen to his character Michael Scott and how they would send him off. After seeing the episode unfold, a smirk ran across my face. It could be attributed to next week’s preview revealing Carell’s replacement Will Ferrell – but it wasn’t. In actuality, as the episode ended it confirmed my suspicions from one fateful tweet in July of 2010:
