One interesting fact about a player, a coach, a team, or the tournament itself.
DB: The last five times Duke and UNC have played in the ACC conference final; the winner has made the Final Four.
PS: I have to pick just one?? Oh, the injustice! I am going to have to go back to one of my favorites…Since Tom Izzo took over as coach at Michigan State, every player that has stayed through his senior year has been to a final four.
Parting words.
Thursday marks the beginning of what promises to be yet another wacky and exhilarating NCAA Tournament. While it may not be the ideal way to determine who the best team is, one cannot argue that it isn’t democratic and also captivating. Nothing captures the sports world’s attention for a longer period of time as the tourney. I will be experiencing it in an entirely new light this year, as I will be in Vegas for the entire first two rounds (they are still the first 2 rounds. I am not gonna get off of this). So check my blog as I will try to post some reports if the situation allows it. To all my SwipeLife brothers, Happy Tourney, and we love to read your comments about what we say. After all, that’s part of what makes sports great.
