Founded in 1994 in the ‘burbs of Central New Jersey, The Elite Camp is a collective of DJ’s and turntablists involved in every aspect of music game – party rocking, technical skill, performance backup, mixtape and instruction. I’ve known the crew since its humble beginnings and i’m honored to see Elite Camp grow into a much respected DJ crew in the New York metro area.

The crews most notable gigs to date is their guest residency at NYC’s LPR (Le Poisson Rouge) for The Freedom Party, Paper Magazine’s “People’s Choice” Award for Best Party of 2010 and their own residency LPR called “More Than Enough.”
I’ve worked with the crew in all facets since a teen, carrying the crew’s record crates before the convenience of Serato, performing with individual members as musician myself as well as crate digging and hanging with the guys during scratch sessions.

So I was quite surprised Elite Camp asked me to host their 16-year Anniversary with a star studded lineup including the legendary Rob Swift (X-Men, X-ecutioners, Ill Insanity), DJ IXL (Hop-Fu, Turntable Lab), A. Vee (APT, BET, Scratch Academy), DJ Reason (IRT Crew) and street wear giant Jeff Staple (Staple Design, The Reed Space). For such a good group of guys like the Elite Camp, it would be a pleasure to rock the mic with them once again.
If you’re in New York on Saturday December 18th, come through to LPR!
