Visit: A Modern Classic
The Story:
A couple of weeks back Ben Sherman Modern Classics hit the road – the destination the remote village of Kilchoan, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point on British mainland. Nearly 600 miles from London, and 55 miles from the nearest town – on highland roads, that’s a two and a half hour drive! The next ten days were spent hiking the highlands and mountains, checking out the wildlife, beaches and the local islands, as well as their whisky distilleries and some amazing shellfish, including a diving expedition to catch our own lunch. A six hour drive was to follow, to the north coast in search of some waves, for some more hiking along the spectacularly rugged coastline, and to check out some very remote pubs. It was a beautiful getaway to some of Britain’s most untouched corners. AW10 Modern Classics accompanied us along the way, and needless to say, it stood up well to the physical demands the rugged environment asked of it.
With a highly anticipated SS11 just weeks away, it seems fitting to revisit the complete current collection – from the pieces already widely seen, to the several less viewed in the public domain – all accompanied by some stunning shots of the gear in its absolute element.
It was a stunning trip away – a complete visual diary of the trip is set to follow over at www.amodernclassic.co.uk shortly. Til then though please find an array of imagery attached – a documentation of Ben Sherman Modern Classics’ AW10 highland retreat.
