Man: You’re girlfriend is really beautiful.
Kanye: Thank You.
Man: Did you know she’s a bird?
Kanye: No I never noticed that.
The film was laughable at times, but it’s not entirely bad. The high point of the whole movie were the songs, since it still shows Kanye’s progression as an artist musically. As for the images, it’s bathed in some surreal decadence that is visionary, but still lacking in someway. I guess it’s hard to make the transition from Murakami cartoon bears to something more mature and elegant. Nevertheless, Selita Ebanks is beautiful in this, even as a phoenix bird.
