Naco Architectures is responsible for this high tech private villa in Shanghai. Formerly a 1920′s villa, this home has gone through some extraordinary transformations. Different elements of marble, glass, wood, and stone are the main four components of this cube home. Marble is represented by the construction of the bathroom, black stone for one of the other bathrooms, glass for the garden, and then wood for the entrance from the street. According to owner Marcelo Joulia: The objective was to create in Asia a house intended for Europeans. To design a family home open on the outside, but which is at the same time a refuge, protected from the bad weather and aggressions from the city. It was necessary obviously that the house is luminous, ventilated. These last points are my trademark.
