Nothing burns so deliciously like whiskey, and Johnny Walker has something new for fans of the drink. The Double Black Blended Scotch is the brand’s latest offering, which possesses extra smoky flavor than Johnnie Walker Black. It was launched last January in six airport duty-free channels. It costs 20% more than the original black, but is so well received that the brand will be distributing it globally starting March of 2011. Double Black is made by taking the original Black and adding heavily peated malts and aging some of the whiskey in deeply charred oak casks.
