It takes quite the bike to turn a Londoner’s head, and Stuart Hobday’s mission was to do just that. Stuart, a web designer, consulted the famed underground bike supply company Brick Lane Bikes to help him assemble the creation that you see here. The 49cm steel frame is complimented by Campagnolo brakes, drivetrain, and seatpost, and rolls on Vento wheels. Our favorite detail is the timeless Brooks leather saddle, which is a healthy addition to any bicycle, but in this case it is just another touch that makes Stuart’s bike so definitively British and yet so nice in contrast to the modern Campy parts and Vento rolling stock. Stuart’s brilliant pictures were also taken with his own Panasonic Lumix LX3.

Hi
Thanks for featuring my bike. The details stated are actually incorrect. Cycle Exif should have the revised details. The frame is a 49cm track frame from Brick Lane Bikes, but the bike itself was built by Brian Digby, a Manchester based cyclist and engineer.

Stuart, thanks for the correction; we will modify the post as such. Keep up the excellent work!
