One of our favorite suit makers Indochino will begin releasing a new custom-made collection each month. For the Gordon Gecko guy in mind, March will bring the release of the brand’s The Wall Street Gentleman collection. The range includes five power suits with key details including peak lapels, chalk stripes, double-breasted blazers, and three-piece suits. Some of the options for the month include the Bull Market Double-Breasted Suit, $399, a slim-cut charcoal pinstripe double-breasted suit with peak lapels and slit pockets, and the Majority Shareholder Suit, $429, a steel gray silk/wool blend with peak lapels and slit pockets. Visit Indochino now to see the rest of the suits in the collection.

This Indochino Company is simply a business and is far from real custom. For them to claim “custom” is strickly commercial. As any fool can see their garments on line are full of wrinkles from poor tailoring. Real men demand comfort and trim fit, not restrictions and wrinkles. Indochino is simply cashing in on young inexperienced males who are longing for the masculinity and power of such “Madmen”.
Custom means, made to the customer’s specifications. Certainly not incorrect but not to the level of, say ‘bespoke.’ It certainly has its advantages over RTW suits from mass producers, and for the same price someone can own a suit that is essentially measured to wear. Most people don’t have several thousands of dollars to pay on bespoke suits, and for those people, companies like Indochino and Astor & Black are perfectly viable solutions to their suiting needs.
