Lucas Ossendrijver and Alber Elbaz aimed to define the true characteristics of the French man using a number of different styles for Lanvin’s Fall/Winter 2010 collection. The result, a collection that mixes comfort and ruggedness envisioned in the near future. There’s a lot of draping and layering involved in the construction of the pieces. High technical fabrics give way to the range’s elegance, but also brings structure to the uniformity of the pieces. The cuts are precise and even the oversized items bunch out in a symmetrical way. The addition of oversized backpacks, boots, and gloves cap off the collection’s futuristic look.
