Dubai is opening the first metro system, hoping to capture the world’s spotlight on the catchy date of 9/9/09, although some of it’s stations are not completed yet. The Dubai Metro will eventually become the world’s longest driverless train system with more than 70km (43 miles) of track with total cost around Dh28 billion ($7.6 billion).
