The new Dubai metro train, undertaking a final test run some hours before the opening ceremony in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on 09 September 2009, passes motor highway traffic. Dubai is opening the first metro system today, hoping to capture the world’s spotlight on the catchy date of 9/9/09, although some of it’s stations are not completed yet. The Dubai Metro will eventually become the world’s longest driverless train system with more than 70km (43 miles) of track with total cost around Dh28 billion ($7.6 billion).
