LaCie & Starck Mobile Hard Drive Collaboration
LaCie to brings out a line of new hard drives designed by iconic, Philippe Starck. The aluminum sheathed USB hard drives, which come in two sizes, offer two notable features: Starck’s signature symbol/design and a 1-touch application launching. The drives are standard USB 2.0/480Mbits/s.
The smaller mobile version carries a 2mm aluminum casing in slim form factor that looks tough enough for most mobile needs; the smaller dimensions give the drive a more elegant form factor the full size desktop model lacks.
The LaCie Starck Desktop Hard Drives are available for $130 for the 1TB version and $250 for the 2TB version, with a smaller The LaCie Starck Mobile Hard Drive in 320GB and 500GB versions ($100/$140).
