Marc Jacobs brings the style of 80′s teen movie anti-hero Duckie who plays opposite Molly Ringwald’s character in Pretty In Pink out of the time machine and onto the runway for his Spring 2010 Marc by Marc Jacobs line proving that Marc Jacobs wears his influences on his sleeve and usually to beautiful results. The eternal feud between Jocks and Nerds plays out in photos and this time everybody wins. The colors are loud, the patterns clash, and the hair is teased out ridiculously. The striped cardigan and the knit motorcycle jacket are excellent twists on nerdy staples. Special thanks to John Hughes for giving Jacobs the thread from which to weave a little 1980′s fashion gold for us all in 2010.
