Swedish label Red Collar Project raises the stakes for Spring 2010 by lifting their inspiration from Charles Dickens’ classic novel “Great Expectations”. For those unfamiliar with the story is of a lackadaisical orphan raised in the country by his abusive sister and her spouse until he is offered riches by an anonymous benefactor so long as he moves to London at once. He does so and has to adjust and adapt to the life of a wealthy gentleman. How does Red Collar Project use the narrative as creative fodder? Check out these looks where dapper conservatism meets color and youthful spirit with a cohesiveness that not many companies can pull off. The looks are dandy but still masculine, flamboyant but firmly rooted in classic mens styles.
