McQ by Alexander McQueen’s Fall 2009 lookbook is serious fashion that doesn’t take itself too seriously. McQueen has a deft hand at transforming otherwise basics into bold must have garments and for Fall 2009 the label tries to throw a little tongue in cheek humor in the mix as well. The model overuses the ankles turned inward Sid Vicious pose a little bit but we get the gist. Punk rock rebellion at the art school is the order of the day. A few cool motorcycle cut jackets, a checkered blazer with matching belt, and a ridiculous parka make this a collection worth noting this year.
