The past few seasons have revealed that Filippa K is everything one would expect from Sweden–clean, exacting, monochromatic–and the Fall / Winter 2009 collection further confirms that idea. The well-tailored jackets, sweaters, and pants come in dark shades of brown, navy, or grey, with white sport shirts and black v-necks rounding out the bulk of the collection. However, with a theme of “Inspired” it’s hoped that a few pieces would branch outside of the usual, and Filippa K does not dissapoint–an interesting graphic sweater, band collar shirt, and slouchy turtleneck offer the unexpected. Filippa K does a particularly good job this season of offering interactivity with the consumer, something many young labels could learn from–Untitled by allows artists to showcase “Inspired” or Filippa K related projects.
