Bassett Walker is a Japanese label that is breaking ground in producing some of the most refined in ready-to-wear and suiting. The more formal items from their Spring and Summer 2009 have an ease to them that may not be as prim as the more established suit-tailoring institutions, but they also haven’t gravitated toward the slim lapel and silhouette as most contemporary designers have been doing for nearly the decade.
Their looks on the site incorporate many other labels (Band of Outsiders, Psycho Bunny, uniform experiment, et al.) that integrate with their items seemlessly. Bassett Walker collaborated with Hiroshi Tsubouchi on their shoe collection to create an awesome line that exudes sophistication. They seem to cover all bases from shoes to accessories – even producing eyeglass frames, socks and jewelery.
