For their Spring/Summer 2010 Blue Bell Jeans collection, Wrangler enlisted the help of some well known names in the fashion world to capture the attitude of their looks. Morena Westerik and Petra van Bennekim, better known as Petrovsky & Ramone shot veteran model Tony Ward in what Wrangler describes “Distinctive Modern” and “Vintage Meets Preppy” pieces. Although a printed tee shirt from the collection reads: “Blue Bell: Designed by Cowboys for Cowboys”, this new advert campaign will likely appeal to those of us who’ve never been on a saddle or have ever enjoyed western movies. As did Levi’s widely successful and exclusive Capital E line, Wrangler’s Blue Bell Jeans will find its way into the closets of a younger market that may have needed to be reintroduced to the brand. Whether this was the intended goal or not, this look book was a job well done.
