Canadian designer twins Dean and Dan Caten of Dsquared² made sure to leave a lasting impression at the Spring/Summer 2010 Men’s Fashion Show in Milan with their new collection. Drawing from their own vivid memories as boys going off to summer camp, the brothers displayed their interpretation of a Dsquared² excursion. Only these guys can make a man seriously attempt to convince himself that its acceptable to wear a silk bordered tuxedo jacket, poplin shirt, bow tie, utilitarian cargo shorts over long johns, and rubber boots all at once, to no avail of course, but a guilty pleasure nonetheless. The easy colors and structure of the new collection make it simple to pull select pieces without running the risk of actually looking like a camper every time, but one frequently used item in the show may be worth that risk. That is the black or green loosely laced rubber boots. They put an exclamation point on every outfit during the show and may even be feasible in the real world given torrential down pours. Get your rain dances ready.
