This is a fascinating and well-thought out approach to a collection. Mjolk designer Lars Stoten has plucked inspiration from a 1950′s era that includes (from my thoughts) beatnick artisans on vacation perhaps. Loose fitting and relaxed pants have been seen more and more in collections, and that is refreshing to see a change in the climate. In seasons past, Stoten’s aesthetic always represented the best of Scandanavian fashion design, but his designs now are extending to different eras and regions which is a reflection of his growth. Some of the jackets, especially the suit jacket, still embody that Scandanavian aesthetic due to the architectural shape on the garments.
