Stealing a page from AMC’s Mad Men, Club Monaco’s upcoming suit collection will feature a truly tailored fit. Headed by new menswear designer, Timothy Farah, Club Monaco’s new suit bodies will include the Wright, a suit with a narrow shorter jacket and high break, and the Kennedy, a suit with a more standard but still slimmed down fit. Both the Wright and Kennedy will be the centerpieces of the Fall collection and may remind you of a time when corporate executives put their best foot forward by daily sporting a polished suit that made them appear calm, collected and in-control.
The new affordable line of suits highly resemble those worn by the impeccably dressed characters on the Golden Globe winning AMC show Mad Men, which storylines revolve around executives in a Madison Avenue ad agency during the 1960′s. The suits include details such as grosgrain taping, mother-of-pearl buttons and working buttonholes at the cuff and will be sold for under $500.
