Mjolk designers Lars Stoten set out to do a very chic and restrained collection for their Spring/Summer 2009 lineup. Restrained relative to past seasons because they usually incorporate very sculptured and draped fabrics into their looks along with bold colors and always some askew or rebellious styling. These looks are more apparent in their knitwear from previous Winter seasons.
In the Spring/Summer 2009 collection, there still remains those staple pieces that look minimal, but there is an elevated and modern production through the use expert tailoring. Solid colored button-ups, blazers and shorts are constructed of linen, flannel and denim chambray. This all makes for a very practical chic during the summer months. The online store, Bespoke Boutique, is a distributor of the Mjolk line.
