
It is not unusual for companies to look back at their own history to find the inspiration for new products. Leatherman though, has gone even further back when they created the new Damascus Wave Multi-Tool. Actually, they have gone back around one thousand years and used a material thought to have been first made in ancient Persia and India.
The technique, which relies on laminating two different steel grades, creates distinctive patterns and this has been used to great effect by Leatherman, contrasting with a rich, coffee-coloured DLC coating for the handle. Fittingly for a product inspired by a process a millenia old, only one thousand will be made. Check the Leatherman site for availability.











Wow, what a beautiful tool. But I’d be afraid to USE it. Nice for a collector, but not a tradesperson.
