Aerowatch La Grande Mecanique
When men are in the process of making arguably the most important decision of their lives we’re reminded repeatedly of the importance of the 4 Cs: Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat. Artisans watchmakers since 1910, Aerowatch made its niche specializing in the making of pocket-watches and pendants and it wasn’t until 95 years later when the company presented its first collection of wristwatches. As a product of their Renaissance collection La Grande Mecanique (Great Mechanics) beautifully displays hours, minutes, and small seconds at 6 o’clock using Roman numerals set on a white lacquered dial. After seeing past her pretty face and 45mm diameter steel casing you’ll find that she boasts 18,000 vibrations per hour on 17 jewels, 16 1/2 lignes, and rhodium guilloche with their trademark blue screws all visible through it’s transparent background. The brown leather coffee bracelet makes this classic perfect for special occasions, say one as special as the big day if she said yes to that diamond. Given Aerowatch’s longevity and expertise, this hand made piece is a ~$3,500 decision worth making and will likely last a lifetime as quality watches are meant to.
