The witty revival of the saddled oxford in recent months has prompted women’s shoe designer Rupert Sanderson to launch a one-off men’s collection of the iconic style. Planted pluckily on red brick soles, with uppers constructed of nude nubuck and one of four colors of leather (olive, blue, brown or black), Britain-based Sanderson’s reverence of the classic design results quite smartly in a timeless rather than timely take on bookworm cool.
