Okay, so it’s not original. It’s not going to start a revolution. But it’s still cool. The trend of renovating American muscle with sweeter curves and huge engines continues with this Plymouth Roadrunner Concept, which seems to hint at the revitalization of both a brand and an iconic vehicle. Drawing from the original 1971 and 72 ‘Runner (and the Dodge Challenger, apparently), independent artist Michael Leonhard has conjured up possibly the only car that could make us want to buy stock in Plymouth, were they to be resurrected. Riding on dubs up front, and 22 inch wheels in the rear, the stance of this muscle car is accentuated with a great looking rear, sporting a nice diffuser and dual exhaust. The front of the car greatly resembles the current model Challenger, with identical (and useful) hood vents, but improves on today’s design by adding a gaping grille that will undoubtedly increase airflow to the radiator. The most unique feature on this retro rocket? The glass roof, complimented by aluminum A-pillars.

I was just wondering how you do all the work that you do. I would like to learn this technique and make a career out of it. I would also like to say that I am one that would like to bring back the classics in the Mopar and Pontiac worlds. There were to many cars that are now forgotten but could very well be brought back and very well may sell like hotcakes. In closing though I would like to do what you do to make a career. I find it interesting and would love to design a car and then see if in real life before me at perhaps a S.E.M.A. show.
